Be Mine ~ Make it Monday

I'm back again with the PTI's Make it Monday challenge.  We are making spinner cards this week!  I've used the OLD, er, VINTAGE Heart Prints set to create my little spinning heart.  I white embossed Be Mine on one side and Always on the other.  I'm also showing you the second card I made proving that my "make 2 cards at a time" goal is still going strong!  I was so inspired by Lizzie's colour combo that I kept it along with the overall feel of her card. Thanks for stopping by!

So Very Loved ~ SFYTT

Hi everyone!  I had happy mail from Simon Says Stamp this week full of some lovely Reverse Confetti stamps and dies.  I thought it would be fun to use their current SFYTT sketch.  I used to play along with those sketches a lot before Jen started her own stamp line.  In keeping with my goal, I made 2 cards at the same time, switching up only the patterned paper.

Thanks for stopping by!  I have a couple more cards to share tonight so I'll be right back!

Beauty for Ashes ~ Mojo Monday

Hi everyone!  I'm back sharing the fruits of my lovely studio day this past weekend.  I'm using this week's Mojo Monday sketch.   In keeping with my goal of making two cards at a time, here's the second version.  My sister is in need of a couple of sympathy cards, hence the sympathy theme.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope your week has started out well :)

Just Because

Greetings!  I've had a lovely day in the studio and have made several cards for some upcoming challenges.  I played with Melissa's PTI Make it Monday challenge and once again kept it simple with a pretty close CASE to Melissa's original card.  I simply changed the florals and sentiment used.  This is helping me get a jump start on some Valentine cards :)  Thanks for visiting!  I'll be back soon to share some more cards!

An Amazing Birthday ~ The Card Concept Challenge

Hello everyone! Today starts a new challenge over at The Card Concept challenge blog based on the picture below...

Oh, what a dreamy bedroom.  It has the same sort of vibe I've been trying to create in my own boudoir {wink, wink}. I was inspired by the bright colours and greys in the photos against a white background.   I hope you'll head over to The Card Concept blog to see all the different interpretations from the Design Team then join in the fun!  Have a great day!

The Number of Stars

Hello!  Happy Tuesday!  I'm back today with a custom card I made for a friend's great nephew on the occasion of his baptism.  I don't have any actual "baptism" sentiments but I sure do have a wonderful selection of Verve scripture stamps.  So I went through all of them and found this one in Shining Star.  Because I did some mixed media on this card including using 2 stencils and some embossing paste in white and gold, I'm sharing this card over at The Mixed Media Monthly challenge.

In keeping with my goal to make 2 cards at once, I created a girl version of the same card, minus the mixed media effect...

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope your week is going well!

Congrats! PTI Make it Monday

Hi friends!  I'm sneaking this card in before the PTI Make it Monday challenge ends.  This week we can pick from any Make it Monday challenge from last year.  I wanted something stunning and relatively easy.  Dawn's gorgeous watercolour card from Challenge #251 really stood out and I CASEd it almost EXACTLY except I changed my sentiment and moved the tag down. Why mess with perfection, right?  I used Bristol paper instead of watercolour paper as I find the Zig markers blend easier on the Bristol paper (idea via Kristina Werner). Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday ~ Curtain Call Inspiration

Hello everyone! Welcome back! It's the first Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge of the year!  This time we’re inspired by this photo…

I was inspired by all those sparkly icicles standing out from a neutral background.  I am also trying to make 2 cards at a time because my stash is REALLY REALLY shamefully low at the moment. Here's the second version in purple!

Want to play along?  Head over to the Curtain Call blog for more inspiration and then join in the fun! Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Lovely ~ The Card Concept Challenge

Happy New Year!  Today starts a new challenge over at The Card Concept challenge blog based on the picture below.  This year, the design team gets to pick the style they want to use for each challenge!

The inspiration photo looked "Clean and Layered" to me so that's what came out on my card!  I think it's pretty easy to see my inspiration right down to the "Hello Lovely" sentiment!  I hope you'll head over to The Card Concept blog to see all the different interpretations from the Design Team then join in the fun!  Have a great day!
