Thank You

Hello!  I'm sneaking a quick card in for the PTI Make it Monday!  It's been a busy weekend celebrating my BIL retirement.  Only four more days of work for me until the summer! WAHOOO!!  For this reverse stencil technique, I used a new Dylusions stencil with Burmuda Bay and Green Parakeet.  I used the Friendly Flower set along with a Scripted die and a VERY old "thank" from the Wonderful Word additions.  It's fun to go through old sets and pair them with the new ones.  Anything goes nowadays!  Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week!

Day to Celebrate

Hi everyone!  I'm back from what seems a long week of no posts to bring you a card for today's PTI Blog Hop.  I have one more week of work and then hopefully I'll be able to spend more time in the studio.  It sure needs a good clean and destashing (wait for some sales soon!).  My mojo has been lacking a bit, I just know I should have done something with watercolour for this challenge, but I reverted back to my tried and true and the old classic Rosie Posie.  I was inspired by the colours of the photo :)  I was also inspired by Dawn Mc's AND my sister's birthdays which are both today!  Happy Birthday ladies!!

Thanks for stopping by!  We are celebrating my BIL retirement as the Superintendent of our School District with a family pig roast today!  Should be fun and yummy!

Giving Thanks

Hello friends!  I'm taking one last break from report card writing today in order to play along with PTI's Create Along With Us challenge.  It was hard to narrow down the choices of inspiration this month, but I finally did it.  I'm inspired by Kay Miller's gorgeous card HERE...

I changed the colours, but kept the watercolour, butterflies, white die cut sentiment, and sequins.  I did use a stencil and water to take off some colour, but you can barely see it.  I think I should have used a baby wipe.  Next time!  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Now onto those last few hours of report writing!

Ever Thanks ~ Viva La Verve

TGIF everyone!  I have only two more Fridays before I no longer care if it's Friday or not...the count down to the summer is ON!  I snuck away from report card writing to play with this week's Viva La Verve sketch...

Oh, yes, there are my favourite flowers from Beautiful Things.  If you have some watercoloured paper that you are not happy with, trust me, these flowers will make that paper shine!  I just smooshed some purples and pinks onto some Tim Holtz watercolour paper, die cut them with the Beautiful Flowers Die Set, stamped the flower image in black and voila!  Gorgeous flowers! I had these grey leaves left over from another project so added those for a little somethin' somethin'.  The sentiment is not available (SORRY!).  It was a gift with purchase awhile back.  But if you love it, like I do, let Julee know and it could become part of a future set!  Want to win some Verve? Head over to the Viva La Verve blog for more inspiration and all the detail!  Have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday ~ Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge

Hi everyone!  I'm back with the newest challenge over on the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge blog.  This time we’re inspired by this photo…

Is it too late for tulips?  Let's pretend it's not...or maybe they are artificial and will always stay this pretty!  I was inspired by the wood background and the hit of purple and green.

Want to play along?  Head over to the Curtain Call blog for more inspiration and then join in the fun! Thanks for stopping by!

A Note of Thanks

Hi everyone! I'm back today with a card for this week's PTI Make it Monday.  At first I didn't think I could participate as I own NO copic markers...yes, you heard right, NO copic markers here in my studio!  I am not a colourer.  I will do it once in awhile, but I have not invested the time (or money) into it.  However, I was so happy to hear Danielle say that if you don't have markers, you could use a shadow of the stamp you used.  So I did!  I used aquamist to create the shadow around the ocean tides main sentiment.

My card is inspired by the beauty Kay Miller made HERE.  Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful weekend!

Forever Be My Always ~ Viva La Verve Friday

TGIF everyone! Today I'm sharing the card I made for the latest Viva La Verve sketch. I'm a little excited about this one because it's for the dh and our anniversary next month...yes, #9!  I think I'm more excited that I finished this well in advance than I am about the actual anniversary! HA!  Just kidding, sort of! I picked up a couple of wilderness/masculine pads of paper recently thinking they would be good for masculine cards.  My dh is an outdoors enthusiast so I know he will appreciate the nod to the forest despite the girly hearts and ribbon.  I used non permanent adhesive on the tag so he could take it off and use it for a bookmark long after the card comes down off the mantle :)

Little One ~ Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge

Hi everyone!  I'm back with the newest challenge over on the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge blog.  This time we’re inspired by this photo…

The first thing I saw in the photo was the whale pillow.  It reminded me of this darling Echo Park paper I picked up at my LSS a few months ago.  I have been enjoying using it with Verve's Strong Anchor set and making baby boy cards.

Want to play along?  Head over to the Curtain Call blog for more inspiration and then join in the fun! Thanks for stopping by!
